Hello,

I downloaded the Cyberghost VPN on my new laptop purchased a few months ago, the problem is that when I launch it and try to connect, it freezes and then closes by itself. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling it but the issue persists. I didn't have this problem on my old computer.

Do you have any solutions to suggest?

My PC runs on Win 11 25h2 with the latest updates installed.

Thank you in advance.

Is it normal for the VPN to ask me to enable the location services for it to work?

Hello,

I'm having the same problem since my PC switched to Windows 11 and I can't find the source of this malfunction.

I have reinstalled the application, disabled my antivirus, and the Windows firewall. Nothing seems to work.

If anyone has an idea, I would appreciate it.

The technical service told me to enable Windows location in Privacy and security. Then, in the location tab, you enable the 2 options: "location services" and "allow desktop apps to access your location."

Once both options are enabled, you launch CyberGhost and connect to the server of your choice. Once connected, you can disable the 2 Windows location options; however, you need to redo the process if you restart CyberGhost or your PC.

I tried to fix Framework, remove IPV6, reinstall Cyberghost, disable Bitdefender, apply the solutions from the Cyberghost help center, Microsoft, forums, etc., etc... what a hassle!

And here is the solution available nowhere, huge thanks to Renard-91

Hello,

I downloaded the Cyberghost VPN on my new laptop

Is it an official version (purchased)?

The software is free on their site, but a subscription is required.
