BIOS issue preventing startup?
Lxrdyukyo -
Hello,
For a few months now, I've been having a problem with my desktop PC when I start it. The tower powers on, the components do too, but there's no response or lights on my screen and on my keyboard/mouse. The only method I've found to get it started is to remove the battery from the motherboard and unplug it for about 1 minute. Upon booting, I access the BIOS and can normally boot into Windows. Initially, when I bought my PC, I didn't have this problem.
I installed an external hard drive 1 month after the purchase, and it worked for a while before this bug occurred.
I only have my NVME in my boot list in the BIOS, so I don't think the hard drive is the issue.
The problem doesn't come from the motherboard battery because I've changed it several times. The RAM sticks are new, so that's not the issue either, and everything works fine when I launch it from the BIOS.
Does anyone have an idea for a solution?
I’ve spent several hours with CHATGPT, and it suggests updating the BIOS; I'm going to test that tonight, but apart from that, I don't see where the problem could be coming from...
Hoping you can help me, as I'm tired of having to open my PC and wait before I can turn it on ^^'
