Hello,

Since yesterday, Avast has been reminding me of something I don't understand.

A priori, I'm not working with imap.orange
I also don't know DigitCert Global...

I'm attaching two files to make it clearer.

What should I do to stop this from reappearing several times a day?

    You uninstall Avast, which is useless, and you reactivate Microsoft Defender, which is the default antivirus for Windows.

      From what I understand, the problem comes from Avast, which is not up to date with the certificate?

      However, what about your solution and the developments of Defender when Microsoft will stop the updates for Win 10 which is installed on my pc?

      Hello,

      No, Avast is still too talkative, but it has nothing to do directly with security certificates.

      What's curious is that the validity dates seem correct.

      This security certificate is used by the browser or here the email (Thunderbird), which would use it to connect to an Orange email account and retrieve it, so it would be in Thunderbird that it is not up to date (version?).

      Defender will no longer be updated next month, which is more relevant beyond theoretical Windows vulnerabilities concerning antivirus bases (does an antivirus really do anything?) than on the already established rules of the firewall.

      I use Comodo for other reasons, which is only talkative if I allow it to be and which continues to be updated, but of course not Windows vulnerabilities themselves as long as they are not just theoretical.

      Thank you for the research lead.
      Indeed, in Thunderbird (140.2.1esr), I have an old Orange account (no longer used, but kept just in case…).
      Is it when Thunderbird retrieves the mail that this happens???
      And why now and never before???

      There were a few (old) emails left in inbox and sent, I deleted everything, including the trash.

      Could this be coming from Orange who hasn’t updated these certificates (even though the date suggests otherwise!) or from Thunderbird?
