TV not working after a loud pop while in use.

Hello,
My Philips 55PUS7502 television, which has had little use but is over 2 years old, was operating when it made a loud popping sound (like a firecracker) and turned off. It is no longer powered by the 220V supply as no LED lights up.
Thanks if you have any information about this type of malfunction.

Hello,
This noise is typical of an electrical arc that cracks... and often of a blown electrolytic capacitor, possibly due to the storm (lightning).
The fuses probably burnt out... maybe even the 220V power cable...
To repair it, you need to know these things or call a technician...
-- A suggestion: maybe a damage claim with the insurance company...

Hello @FRANSIS33 StatusMember,
I am currently experiencing the same issue with my Philips 55PUS7502 TV.
Can you let me know how you resolved this problem?
Did you change a capacitor or the complete power board?
Thank you in advance,
Best regards.

Hello,
For that, the interested parties would need to respond or share a bit about their experience...
What was said in the POSTS still applies to you as well.

Thank you @jeannets StatusContributor for your comment.
The problem with my television appeared while simply watching TV, no storms, surges, or anything else.
Only my TV was working in my living room and throughout the house.
I have some knowledge of electricity and microtechnology, so having found the same issue as mine on this forum, I ask the person who initiated the request if they managed to solve their problem and if so, how?
For my part, I'm leaning towards a blown capacitor + the TV fuse, but a fuse doesn’t blow without reason, so before replacing it, we need to find the root cause.
If @FRANSIS33 StatusMember has managed to solve their problem, I would like to know how so I can investigate on my side and see if we had the same issue.
Hello,
Just to say that if you have the purchase invoice and as suggested by Jeannets, you should make a lightning claim, so electricity, with your insurer and the home insurance will reimburse you for an identical television without any problem.
But they do require the purchase invoice.
Have a good day.
You are mistaken because I have my 2015 Hitachi heat pump which was struck by lightning, and they reimbursed me at the same price, and it's not the price of a television.
So for all appliances, etc., and televisions too, if you have the invoice, the insurance reimburses you at the price you paid.
There you go.
