Memory Limit Parameter (Linux Mint Cinnamon)

Hello everyone
What exactly does the Memory Limit (of Cinnamon?) mean in the system settings, set by default to 2048 MB? Should it be adjusted based on the available RAM? Personally, I have 4 GB of RAM.
Thank you in advance

Hello,
What are you referring to exactly?
Recommended amount of RAM?
Swap?
The memory we allocate to a VM?
Hello
In case of random freezes apparently caused by something he couldn't identify, Cinnamon, which was heavy on memory usage due to ???, was often using the full 2000MB allocated, so he simply increased it a bit without specifying how much was allocated, and the freezes disappeared, that's all.
It would be nice if you could provide a screenshot or the path to access these Memory Limits (of Cinnamon) settings, as others couldn't find where to adjust this setting on the Mint site where they found this fix three years ago, and the resolved discussion has been closed.
Hello,
The Lord said ask, and it will be given to you.

If the graphical interface (the desktop) happens to consume more than the specified amount, but it's not clear why that would happen, it is this graphical interface that will restart, not Linux Mint itself.
There’s no reason to modify it unless there are exceptional circumstances (Applets that would consume the mentioned memory).
