Redmi Note 12 storage issue

Hello, my mother has had a Redmi Note 12 for a year now, and for several weeks she has been unable to take photos, receive them via SMS, or through WhatsApp. She can't install apps or perform updates either. We checked the phone's information, and it first shows 38GB out of 128GB, then when she clicks it shows 128GB out of 128GB, with 126GB for system storage!!
I have searched in vain for answers and tried everything: cleared the cache of all applications, deleted all unnecessary apps. I had seen on another forum that it was necessary to uninstall all updates of the gallery and reinstall them afterward, but I can't uninstall these updates.
Moreover, in the list of her apps, there are dozens and dozens of lines of apps with the Android logo and the beginning of the name in "com.android. etc.", but we can't delete these apps and don't know what they correspond to.
If you have any idea, as I am completely desperate with this phone!
Thank you!

Hello,
I feel like you are mixing up quite a few things, particularly the installed apps and the system files that you shouldn't have seen.
The installed apps can be found in Settings > Apps and nowhere else.
Updates are not in the Gallery, which is an image manager.
In any case, the storage on your smartphone is cluttered with who knows what.
In a case like this, I think there’s nothing else to do but a complete reset. You probably have a reset option in the Settings. Go to Settings and type "reset" in the search box.
Be careful not to jump in lightly: back up your data. Make sure you have all the passwords for your accounts.
You will need to reinstall most of the apps.
What is well conceived is clearly expressed,
And the words to say it come easily.

She had inserted an SD card that hadn't changed the storage issue and that she eventually removed. Now when she puts it back in, it is no longer recognized and she can't transfer the storage to it.
