Good evening,
I don't see the point of writing an article on an illegal site that, by the way, gives it publicity while we moderate all requests regarding illegal streaming.
I find it hard to understand.
Jeff is back……
Best regards.
Hello everyone.
My opinion on all this,
Whether it's illegal downloading or IPTV, soon it won't work anymore because we now know that IPTV can carry malware and that downloading is increasingly monitored and links are quickly taken down. I’m an old-timer who experienced the rise of piracy, and now it no longer makes sense. Before, it was more about advertising or allowing people who wouldn't have had the means to buy DVDs to watch content.
Now, even though streaming service prices are going up, compared to before when the wealthiest and geekiest among us spent €100 a month to buy the latest five big movies of the month, Netflix and others remain good legal options that are much less expensive. We’ll just miss the physical media, but honestly, that has little interest for the masses; it's great for cinephiles with big budgets.
Hello,
Why revive this old and biased article that deserved nothing more than to fall into oblivion?
If I can't afford to go to a restaurant 5 times a month to treat myself to the biggest menus, it's unfortunate, but that doesn't give me the right to steal by leaving without paying the bill.
As you illustrate, a number of legal platforms have become relatively accessible, not to mention that free-to-air TV is available and that some TV packages from providers aren't that expensive either.
This is more about cheating for sport, in much the same way that we regularly see on this forum requests to activate Windows or Office without paying, even though in the latter case the use is not essential and now they can also be obtained at reasonable prices.
Amazing argument. If I grab 100 million in bitcoins from an individual or if I divert the savings from their account, wouldn't that be theft?
Moreover, shouldn't the work of developers, screenwriters, illustrators, etc. be compensated?
This shows a lack of understanding of the laws and disregards the charter that every user of any forum is supposed to respect, including writers and administrators.
As for recent movies, I understand the concept of stealing. But what about older films? For me, in my forties, I saw movies in theaters, then rented them from video stores, then bought those same films on VHS back then, and then had to buy them again on DVD, and then on Blu-Ray after that, all for the same movies... someone will have to tell me who the thief is in this case.
Film distributors are not supposed to know that you hold other copies and, in any case, it doesn't change anything; they are not responsible for, for example, your VCR not working or that you chose a different type of device.
It's more complex under American law, but under French law, copyright (for a film: script, music, etc.) lasts for 70 years after the death of the last author, which indeed leaves room for old films.
In terms of recent films, there is such a quick "turnover" that very quickly a film is worth nothing or almost nothing, broadcast on TV and then often available from providers like Netflix or on legal platforms at costs even lower than a cinema ticket that can be watched by multiple people: we return to the rest of the discussion, nothing justifies, even if one finds them very bad (but then we watch others), that the rights holders are not compensated.
