EXTENDING WIFI THROUGH ETHERNET CABLE

Hello,

I had an RJ cable (RJ45 cable to wall socket) installed in an extension to provide internet access. The walls are too thick for Wi-Fi alone.

What Wi-Fi repeater can I install? It would be connected to the wall-mounted RJ45 socket in the extension. From the box, an RJ45 cable goes to a switch that supplies the RJ45 wall sockets in the extension.

Then, I would like to install televisions in the extension.

Best regards,

    Hello,

You can install a Wi-Fi access point.

You are not providing any information that would allow for helpful advice.

    Hello,

there are dozens of Wi-Fi access points, even mesh systems.

You will need to specify your request regarding the area to be covered and the minimum speed required, as well as the desired budget.

PS: to connect TVs, you don't need Wi-Fi; it's better to do it via Ethernet, since a TV isn't very mobile. An Ethernet switch on the extension side will be sufficient too.

And there you go, there you go, there you have it ....

But goodness, those line spacing are such a hassle!!

Thank you for the response. I have already connected the TV directly via RJ45 to the box. I can't receive the channels. Just Prime, Molotov... etc. Since it's new, customer service told me that I need to connect it via WiFi.

Your customer service is a donkey,

whether it's wifi or ethernet, the result is the same, it's like a PC.

No channels, what do you mean? You mean the DTT, we need to see if the basic apps on the TV understand these channels.

In principle, the major ISPs offer apps for DTT channels (and others), like Oqee with Free, Orange TV for Orange or SFR TV with SFR, and Bouygues B.tv, the smart TVs don't have everything installed by default, in any case, it has nothing to do with the wifi.
