Hello,
Check by pressing Win + X > Device Manager to see if it appears under Disk drives or USB devices and if there is a yellow exclamation mark, that indicates a driver problem.
Still using the same keys to access Disk Management and check if the disk is listed but without a drive letter.
If so, right-click on it > Change Drive Letter and Paths > Add a letter.
Test another USB port which can sometimes be faulty or not provide enough power.
Try using another USB cable if possible and see.
Reinstall the drivers in Device Manager by right-clicking on the disk > Uninstall device.
Restart your PC and reconnect the disk to force Windows to reinstall the drivers.
Check the power supply of the disk as external drives need reliable power to function properly.
Use recovery or diagnostic software because if the disk is detected but inaccessible, tools like EaseUs can help recover data or repair corrupted partitions.
If nothing works, the disk may have suffered a hardware failure.
Have a nice day.
