Create remote access to Synology NAS on Filezilla.

Hello, it's been a while since I've been tinkering with my Synology NAS to use it with FileZilla.

I've seen several forums and tutorials, but I can't get it to be detected on FileZilla by other people.

I’ve set it up as a photo server for the whole family, but I can only connect to it via QuickConnect (which is very, very slow).

I’ve tried configuring my internet box (Orange) to open the ports, but it had no effect.

The FTP, SSH, etc. services are well activated on my NAS.

Can you help me please?

Hello,

If you have SSH on the NAS, you can use sftp on the default port 22.

If we limit ourselves to ipv4,

It's this port that needs to be forwarded on your lbx.

Have you set a fixed local V4 IP address on the NAS?

And there you go ....

But misery, how annoying line spacing is!!

Yes, there is indeed a fixed IP. 192.168.1....

What does the debug of Filezilla tell?

What's strange is that on my box, my NAS is detected with its IP address. But it doesn't appear on the DHCP. When I try to create it manually, it tells me that it already exists. It also shows up in the DNS. However, I can't find its MAC address.

If you put a static address on it, that's normal, no need for DHCP, you should check the ARP table of the LBX, it should be visible on the machines.

Did you configure your box correctly as the default gateway on the NAS?

When I connect to FileZilla, I get: unable to establish a connection to the server.

I'm not really sure if I configured the box as the default gateway. How can I check that?

I believe the default gateway is indeed the box. In general network settings, I have the default gateway set to 192.168.1.1.
