Hello,

My old Continental Edison TV had a resolution of 1366 x 768.

But when I switched to PS5 or Fire TV, it showed 1080p 50Hz or 60Hz via HDMI.

Why?

    Hello,

    The resolution of the TV, or any screen, does not determine the resolution of the displayed image.

    There are formats that change over time... But at the same time, the digital encoding of the file also changes... and electronics make adjustments that simulate an image format... But for that, one needs to know the TV model well... The brand is not enough.
