Reset stuck tablet on Android logo with open cover

Hello,

My child forgot the pattern on their tablet, the problem is that I'm trying to perform a reset using the "power button + volume up" but I can't get the reset menu to appear. Instead, there's the Android logo lying down with the cover open but without the warning logo above it? I tried volume up + power, volume up for 1 second but nothing worked!

Can someone help me?
