WhatsApp how to increase message box size

I use WhatsApp on my PC, so on a big screen.
I find it unfortunate that the message typing area is limited to one line.
I haven't found out how to increase it.
If you have the answer, thank you in advance.

Hello,

In Settings (gear icon at the bottom left), "Discussions", uncheck "Enter to send". In the text input, each line break will not send the message and you can have up to 8 lines displayed simultaneously. Obviously, in the absence of input, only one line will be displayed.

MAANGs don't have oil but they have data!
Do you feel my Big Data?

Hello,

By pressing Shift + Enter multiple times, you can increase the editing window to 5 blank lines.
This is the maximum size of this editing window.

This is true on my computer. Apparently for luckydu43, it's a bit different.

What is well conceived is clearly stated,

In Edge 128.0.2739.54, Shift+Enter does not increase the input field. It must depend on the browser.

I don't have the option suggested by luckydu43.
However, I have already used the procedure from Pierr10, but it is not satisfactory.
What a silly idea to provide us with a ridiculous editing window on large screens!
My WhatsApp is recent! It probably comes from the Smartphone version where the screen is small.
