Hello,

I have an old IPAD A1219 from 2010 that I would like to bring back to life.

When I open Safari, I get a message: "Cannot open the page: Safari cannot open the page because a secure connection to the server could not be established."

I checked my Apple account and I have no trusted device recognized.

I can't find a solution to connect this IPAD to Apple.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

You have an Internet Service Provider with a Box and on this Box there is a Wep or Wap key with several letters and numbers (to be photographed), to be indicated on Bluetooth I believe, as I have one.

But it should work with the Opera browser or Google Chrome.

It's not easy to connect with older devices.

Hello,

I have an old IPAD A1219 from 2010 that I would like to get back in service.

Given its age (14 years), to get it back in service, you need to update it... https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/118575

Hi,

Unfortunately, on these devices the last update is 9.3.1 and it stopped there, unlike my other Apple devices which are at 17.6.1.

But I just went on Google with it and YouTube opens without any problem.

Hello to both of you,

Clarification:

My version: 5.1.1 (9B206) - I assume it's Apple iOS

I went to an Apple Store where I was told that my iPad is too old and that security updates are no longer available (planned obsolescence?).

Thanks to Didi64_549

I didn't understand where to enter the WEP or WAN number. The only thing I'm asked for is the password.

It's impossible to download Google Chrome or Firefox via Google; it redirects to iTunes because I get the message: "iTunes Store access unavailable."

As for YouTube, through the native button: "Unable to connect to YouTube," and through Google: "your browser is outdated."

Thanks also to Panth33ra

I tried the link but unfortunately: "Unable to open the page: Safari cannot open the page because a secure connection to the service could not be established."

I am therefore open to any "tricks" to bypass these issues.

Thanks in advance

Hi again,

You had never backed up with iTunes on a PC before?

It works for me with Chrome, but Safari has been replaced by Opera.

Do you happen to have another Apple device?

Hi,

I've never backed up on iTunes on PC before and I don't have any other Apple device, I'm struggling with their configuration as I'm used to Windows, which I find more user-friendly.

But I think I saw that you could update on iTunes via a Windows PC.

I'll give it a try.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, it's good to make backups and updates via iTunes.

See you later.
