Since I got this phone, I have very little storage. I had three apps plus one preinstalled. I uninstalled two to make space, but it was unsuccessful.

Looking in the settings, I discover that there are 6.85 GB of applications, while there are actually 197 MB of space used by my apps.

I don’t know what to do, which is why I'm asking for your help.

Thanks, and kisses ✌????

    Hello,

Unfortunately, this is one of the issues with entry-level smartphones.

Try going to Settings / Apps / Manage Apps → Sort by "Used Storage" and see if you can delete some apps you don't use among those taking up the most memory. But unfortunately, a good part of the so-called "system" apps are not removable.

I took a look on my end, I deleted Xiaomi Home (not useful for me), MI Doc viewer (I have the Google Drive app that already allows me to view documents), the "scanner" app (I have a lighter one). You can also uninstall updates for the "App Vault" app, which is redundant with the Play Store (be careful not to reinstall updates if offered in the future)...

You also have 700MB of photos and videos; you can back them up to another device and delete them from the phone.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

I have the same problem with my Redmi 6A.

Many things overlap between Mi and Android...

Thanks T3... I had never thought of sorting the apps by storage; it's more efficient when you want to uninstall.
