Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a smartphone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 12S

Xiaomi Hyper OS operating system

Android 14

I wanted to use Bit Defender antivirus, as I already have an account with them

But it turns out that after installation, my device is not secured in terms of web navigation and scams.

When going to: Accessibility / Bit Defender Mobile to enable protection,

I get a gray window with a red triangle "Danger"

"Accessibility" is a very sensitive permission. If you grant this, your information could be disclosed and your property could be in danger "

Here is what the applications will be allowed to do :

1 - Read all the content of the control screen

You have a checkbox with the note :

" I am aware of the possible risks and voluntarily assume all possible consequences "

Well, after contacting Bit Defender they tell me that nothing can be done and that all of this is caused by aggressive battery optimizations.

I even tried the :

Settings / Battery / Power saver / No restrictions

Nothing works.

And even downloading a free version from a competitor, and configuring the phone, still at an impasse!

    Hello.

    In my opinion, an antivirus on Android is pointless; most Android antivirus programs are ineffective, if not superfluous.
