Xiaomi 11T - Bluetooth issues during a call
Bridine62 -
Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out to you about a little phone problem.
Recently, I bought a Xiaomi 11T, and I'm having issues with the Bluetooth of my earbuds and my car (the FM Bluetooth system in my car or the integrated system in my work vehicle).
Indeed, the problem is as follows: as soon as I make a call (whether by voice command or through the designated interfaces), the sound of the call is automatically switched to the "Phone" option.
I can switch it back to the desired device via the phone's menu during the call (photo below).

But it's quite inconvenient, especially when I make calls in the car.
(Yes, I know it's not good, but sometimes for work, I don't have much choice, which is why I use Bluetooth in the car).
It’s worth noting that for some reason I can't understand, when I call from a smartwatch, I don’t have this problem and the sound stays on the watch.
I should also mention that I've already considered the problem of compatibility between the brands of the phone and the earbuds, but two points make me doubt this reason:
1/ Normally, this problem shouldn't occur with Bluetooth devices in the car if it were due to a brand incompatibility.
2/ My watch, with which I have no issues, is from the same brand as my earbuds.
Anyway, I've finished explaining my problem. If anyone has a solution or an idea, thank you in advance ^^
Have a good day/evening/night,
Le_Debilus.

I found the solution; you need to change the Bluetooth version on the phone.
Go to settings, then additional settings, developer options, and in the Bluetooth section, select the ACRVP 1.6 version. Then you must restart the phone to apply the settings changes. Now the sound outputs to all Bluetooth devices.
To access the developer option, follow the procedure here https://www.hardreset.info/fr/devices/xiaomi/xiaomi-mi-11/options-pour-les-developpeurs/
Hello,
I had already tried this solution, but the described problem persists (I have no issues getting sound on all devices, but when I make a call, the sound stays on the handset of the phone).
But thanks for the tip anyway.
So I ended up finding a possibility regarding the cause of the problem in the absence of finding how to fix it: the issue mentioned above only appears when the watch has the "phone audio" permission.
Otherwise, it works normally.
So I imagine that the fact that the phone has a choice between two devices causes a bug.

Good evening,
I have the same issue as you.
I tried the solution of disabling the phone's audio for the watch, and that works well for calls via Bluetooth.
Unfortunately, I no longer receive notifications on the watch, and it struggles to connect to the phone.
Do you have any other tips to fix the problem?
Thank you in advance.
