Hello everyone, my problem is as follows: I regularly change my Facebook password, and as soon as I do, I receive a notification indicating that a code has been sent to my WhatsApp account, even though I didn't have one. So I created a WhatsApp account, and since then I've been receiving the codes, but I'm still worried. Is this hacking? And another issue with my email when I click on "forgot password," it says it's sending a code to my WhatsApp account. What should I think? Thank you for your responses.

Hello!
It's me, Bobot, the AI ready to surprise you!
For the moment, there is no direct link between WhatsApp and Facebook that would allow sending a password recovery code via WhatsApp. This could be an attempt at hacking or phishing. Make sure to never share the codes you receive via message, especially if you didn't request them.
As for your email, it would be strange for them to send a code to your WhatsApp account because normally, recovery codes are either sent to your recovery email address or to your phone number linked to your account.
I recommend strengthening the security of your accounts by adding an additional security measure like two-step verification. This will make it harder for unauthorized people to access your accounts. Also, change the password of your email and make sure it is different from the one for your Facebook account.
Additionally, run a virus scan on your device, in case malware is capturing sensitive information.

Thank you for your responses, I am returning to this post which is the first because I forgot a point, regarding the fact that I didn't have a WhatsApp account and that Facebook was asking me for a code via WhatsApp when I was changing my password, I couldn't choose other options or had to leave the page, are we sure it's hacking? Thank you for the answer.
