Hello,

Following a new Windows installation on a new hard drive, I'm having an issue with two applications, Instagram and TikTok.

I have tried everything mentioned in this video without success.

I even followed a tutorial to change the DNS in the network card :/

Hello.

Problem solved by resetting the PC from the latest version of Windows 10

without losing files.

Just need to reinstall my programs

I don’t use these two apps, but the Signal messaging app requires pairing via QR code after a reinstallation.

Are Windows and other essential apps installed and up to date otherwise?

Did you install Windows with a Microsoft account?

Hello.

Yes, it's just like you asked, but for the QR code, it's done once installed and at the opening.

Right now, it's the store that isn't completing the installations, while Messenger Meta and many other applications installed without any problems.

WhatsApp worked. Instagram has no association except for Tiktok.

As usual, error codes can have multiple meanings; you shouldn't limit yourself to just one channel.

I just installed Discord without any issue.

It's still strange.
I will check your links. Thank you.

I don't have the WindowsApps folder and also, since the drive is new and was set up yesterday, I have no trace of TikTok or Insta.

me too and through the gear wheel for the Windows updates.
Maybe there's a KB that I'm missing to finally reinstall these two applications.

The big mystery is why others install without making a fuss?

I'm keeping the post open, but having managed to access my old HDD, I can see that the WindowsApps folder is missing from the current system.

We'll see in a few months ;)

And yes. Format it and a good whack with a hammer on top and that’s that.

Still, I used a good strategy to force it to show up in the explorer.

I plugged in a working 1TB drive, then disabled it and plugged this one in while activating it.

I got all my pieces back :p

Otherwise, Microsoft is a pain in the neck for making us believe there are problems!

At least for the update KB5034441 that generates the error 0x80070643, they made a utility to hide it :)
