Change secondary account to primary account

Hello,

I would like, like many others, to change the secondary account of my Free mobile line to the main account, but Free has not had this feature for decades, which seems crazy in 2024!! Can’t they just add a button "Make this line my main line"??

I am angry about this, especially since now they require a code to retrieve invoices, so to get the invoices for my daughter's phone, I have to request a code (which sometimes takes an eternity because it’s not always available!).

So I found this trick (maybe) to be able to set my secondary account as the main one:

I might be silly, but I don’t quite understand the part "The detached line automatically becomes primary and can in turn host secondary lines." So do I end up with two main lines?? What happens to my daughter's line after that?

Not very clear, I find....

Hello,

When you have a main line, you can practically change all the information:

So your daughter can become the account holder of the line, provide her own postal address and payment method, etc.

In other words, if I understand correctly, the process occurs in two stages:

  • The disconnection of the secondary line (which becomes the main line)
  • The modification of the information to have a new account holder for the line.

It would still be wise to contact Free to confirm the process and to know how the management of the second main line (username, password) will be handled before you change the information.
