Hello!

You may have a problem with your mouse driver. One solution could be to reinstall the mouse driver.
You can also try checking if the problem persists with another mouse. If the issue is indeed with your mouse, then switching mice will likely solve the problem.
If the issue is not related to your mouse, you can try disabling sleep mode. To do this, go to settings, then to power options. There, you can set the sleep option to "Never".
In any case, the first thing to do would be to check for potential system errors. You can do this by opening a terminal and typing "dmesg". This will display the list of kernel messages, which could help you identify the problem.
Feel free to update your system, as this could also resolve your issue.

Hello,
You say that the mouse isn't moving anymore, but does the keyboard still respond? In particular, does anything happen if you do:
- ctrl alt backspace (restarts the graphical mode)
- ctrl alt f1 (switches to text mode)
- ctrl alt delete (restarts the machine)
It's likely that if nothing responds, your PC is having trouble hibernating. If that's the case, these are unfortunately problems that aren't easy to solve...
Good luck
