Hello,

Can the people I have in my contacts see me in the quick add feature even if I haven't synced my contacts?

No, Snapchat does not include users in the "Quick Add" section unless they have synced their address book with the app. So, if you haven't synced your contacts, people can't see you in their "Quick Add."

So I’m really sorry for my very long message but I admit that it frustrates me not to have a clear answer to my problem, so I’m desperately trying to understand...

I’ve been having a problem with a friend since October 2024. So it’s been 1 month.

In September 2024, I accepted a friend request (he had sent me a message... we were already friends in 2023 but hadn’t been in contact until this year...)

We got back in touch and exchanged Snaps very regularly for 1 month. Everything was going well. Then at the beginning of October (on October 7 specifically), I sent a casual snap to my friend. About 30 minutes later, the conversation with the friend completely disappeared from my chat feed. I checked the friends list thinking it was a bug. My friend also disappeared from my friends list.

I then searched in the search bar and found my friend’s profile, so the account still exists. The green dot is still active in front of his avatar.

I tried several times to add him (the add mention in blue) but the following message appeared: "We’re sorry, we couldn’t find (with my friend’s Snap username)"

In the search bar, the name that appears is the same as the one I saved in my phone contacts. Because it’s the same name used on his Snap...

I tried to contact Snap to help me understand the problem but haven’t heard back for 1 week. However, by taking a screenshot of my friend’s profile, I noticed that our entire conversation has reappeared in the chat feed (all the messages, photos, and saved videos are still there) but instead of the camera icon, I see a gray cross in front of his name in the chat feed.

I tried to send him a Snap. It was successfully delivered (red arrow) but still hasn’t been opened for over 1 week...

I’ve browsed all the forums and I conclude that there could be two explanations... Either he blocked me (I don’t know for what reason since everything was going well...) or it’s a bug like what has happened to other people based on what I read in another forum on another site; these people have almost the same problem as me during the same period this year...

I would really like to get your opinion, please?
