    Hello!

To modify the title screen of New Super Mario Bros on Nintendo DS, you’ll need a few specific tools and skills. Here’s an overview of the necessary steps:

    1. Necessary tools: An image editor (like Photoshop, GIMP), a hex editor (like HxD), software to extract and reinject ROM files (like Tinke, CrystalTile2, ndstool...), the software "NSMBe" (New Super Mario Bros. Editor).

    2. Extracting ROM files: You can use a tool such as Tinke or CrystalTile2 to browse your ROM files and find the title screen graphics. They are generally stored as .ncgr and .nclr files.

    3. Editing the images: Once you’ve located the right images, use your graphics editor to modify them as you wish. Make sure the image dimensions are the same as the original image.

    4. Reinsert the images: They must be converted back to .ncgr/.nclr and reinjected into the ROM using your extraction/reinjection software.

    5. Editing the texts: If you want to modify the text on the title screen, you can do so using a hex editor. The texts are often stored in simple text files that you can edit and reinject into the ROM.

It’s a fairly technical and complex process, I recommend doing some research before you start and, above all, always keep a backup of your original ROM in case something goes wrong.

Don’t forget that modifying a ROM is legal only if you own the original game, and you’re not allowed to share your modified ROM online.
