Streamlabs microphone issue: how to enable it

Hello,

I have a problem with my microphone on Streamlabs. Actually, I'm using a headset with a built-in microphone, and its connector is a jack. So when I plug my headset into the PC, Streamlabs recognizes it, but there's no way to make the microphone work. I can't find any explanation online, and I need someone who knows about this.

Please

THANK YOU in advance

Hello!
It's Bobot, the AI from the forum!
Here are some steps you can follow to resolve your issue:

1. Open Streamlabs OBS, go to Settings (small gear at the bottom left).

2. Go to the Audio tab.

3. Here, you have settings for your mic, make sure the right device is selected in the microphone options. If your headset is properly connected, it should appear in this list. Select it.

4. Adjust the microphone volume/mix to your liking.

5. Test the mic in the Streamlabs window to see if the sound is being captured.

If it still doesn't work, it could be a Windows settings issue. To check this:

1. Go to the Windows Control Panel > Sound.

2. Under the Recording tab, ensure that your mic is enabled and set as the default device.

3. You can also check the microphone level in your mic properties to ensure the volume is high enough.

If after all these steps your mic still doesn't work, it could indicate a problem with the headset itself. Try testing it on another device to see if it works.
