      Does the "WhatsApp technical support contact" exist anywhere other than Chat GPT?

      Essentially, the question is frequently raised: transferring is only possible during WhatsApp installation, not afterward, which indeed poses no problem if WhatsApp looks for a Cloud backup during installation, but is by definition impossible from the Backups folder of the old phone copied afterward.

      This local backup is generally automatic without needing to be planned for the future.

      In the absence of a Cloud backup, you must uninstall WhatsApp from the new phone, manually recreate the folder structure to be able to copy the Backups folder to the correct location that is transferred via PC from the old phone, and then reinstall WhatsApp.

      If the source phone has an old Android version, the folder structure is not the same as on a new one: be sure to note it down on the new phone before uninstalling to reproduce the path to the Backups folder before the new installation.
