Gigaset base blinking and battery empty

I am 74 years old and I don't understand much about my Gigaset A700H phone. I pressed everywhere and messed everything up. Is the base normally on because it is off and when I place the phone on it, nothing happens. My son tried to call my landline from his mobile, and nothing happened. As I mentioned above, the base is blinking and the battery is dead. Help! My son doesn't want to deal with it! THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME.

What is the model of the base? A700H is the reference for the handset.

The base can be:

  • A700 (no built-in answering machine, one button on the base).
  • A700A (built-in answering machine, several buttons on the base, and a display).

Do you have only one handset or several?

There is a good chance that your base is no longer powered.

Check that:

  • The power cable is securely plugged into the base.
  • The electrical outlet to which the power unit is connected is working properly.

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...
