Dangerous application

Hello,

Last night I installed a mobile app called PKXD (mobile game), since this installation my phone has been bugging out.

Last night my phone was bugging out so much that I couldn't control it, and I couldn't answer calls.

I uninstalled it but my phone keeps bugging out and my battery has less autonomy.

My question is as follows: Did my phone bug out because of overheating or did the app cause my phone to bug so much?

If it is indeed the app that caused this, should I reset my phone?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello, I hope you are doing well.

What is your phone model, please?

If you downloaded it from the Play Store, you don't have to worry about an infection. At first glance, the game seems to require quite a lot of resources (in terms of graphics), and my initial reasoning is that your phone may have overheated and thus slowed down.

But if your problem persists after a while, we will need to look elsewhere...

Have a great day,

Hello, I'm doing well and I hope you're doing well too.

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.

I also thought about the phone overheating, but since my battery is starting to wear out, I'm not really sure.

I also looked through the apps to see if there was anything suspicious and I came across an app called "PlayAutoInstalls." But it looks like a system app, so I'm not too sure.

And since I don't know anything about all this, I'm a bit lost about what I should do.. I don't want to have malware on my phone.

Hello,

Thank you very much :)

How long have you had your phone? On Xiaomi phones, there is a security app (green logo, with a shield and a lightning bolt), and inside, there is a battery section that allows you to close everything that consumes a lot and see which app is concerned.

Have a great day,

I’ve had my phone for about a year, it seems. In terms of battery, it informs me that the apps consuming the most are mainly: Discord and other social networks. So nothing alarming at first glance. (strange given the speed at which the battery drains)

I also ran a security analysis to check, but everything seems fine apparently. Do you think it's useful to completely reset the phone? I would be a bit annoyed to lose everything, but if it's for a good cause, why not.

Hello,

In my opinion, you should install AccuBattery to analyze your battery's behavior. It will record all the charge and discharge cycles. Ideally, after you install and launch the app, charge your phone to 100% and let it discharge close to 1% before charging it back to 100.

I wish you a very good day :)
