SD card issues for Xiaomi

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my SD card. My smartphone asked me to format my SD card, which I did. And now, when I put my card in my phone, it says: SD card, press to safely remove the device. Browse or Eject.

I didn't have any problems with this card before. All my photos and other files were automatically saved on it without issue. Now I've put my photos back on it, but they're not going back to the same place, and I keep getting this message.

I've searched for a solution, but I can't find one. Online, they say to go to settings and then storage. However, I don't have that tab in my settings. What should I do? Thank you very much for your help, as this is very frustrating.

My phone is a Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro.

 My smartphone asked me to reformat my SD card. So I did.

Did you format your microSD card with the smartphone and not with the PC?
