Blocked on Messenger or not?

Hello,
I think I might have been blocked by one of my Messenger contacts, but I'm not sure how to confirm that?
Knowing that:
- I can still see the contact online with the green dot at the top of the Messenger screen and their usual profile picture
- The conversation remains active with the green dot, but the profile picture has been replaced by another one (is it a story picture? It looks like it)
- I can still see the countdown of minutes if they're not online within the hour
A response would be appreciated
Is there another way for me to confirm the blocking... I don't want to try sending a message to find out
The SMS thread is still there, but I can't confirm being blocked on RCS Chat because I don't want to send any messages, especially since you can't tell if the person has disabled read receipts

If you're blocked on Messenger, this is typically what you'll notice:
- You will no longer be able to see your contact’s online activities (the green dot you mentioned at the top of Messenger)
- You won't be able to send messages to that person (the message will remain in an "undelivered" state)
- You will no longer see updates to their profile picture.
However, if you can still see this person online, if you can see the time since their last connection, and if you see their profile picture changing, it is highly likely that you are not blocked. It is possible that this person has simply changed their profile picture to another one, perhaps a picture from their story as you suggested.
In summary, if you can still see this person's activities, there is a good chance that you are not blocked. But the only surefire way to check would be to attempt to send a message. If you really don't want to try that, you could always try searching for their profile on Facebook. If you can't find them or if you can't access their profile, it is possible that you are blocked.
