Hello everyone and thank you in advance for your valuable help. I have been trying for a few days to project the screen of my Samsung A50 phone to my Samsung Smart TV using Smart View, but my TV does not connect. It is visible, but when I click on it to connect in order to watch the videos on my phone, it doesn’t work. What is happening? Am I doing something wrong? I also tried with the CastPhone to TV app, and I received the same connection refusal from my Samsung TV. The connection is recommended via WiFi, but I still tried with mobile data and nothing changed! I must be making a mistake somewhere; I am counting on your attention to address my request. Have an excellent evening, everyone, see you soon!

    Good evening,

What year is your television? Because if it was marketed after 2016, you need to use SmartThings instead.

SmartView is for televisions marketed between 2011 and 2016.

Your problem might simply come from that.

    Best regards.

Good evening and thank you so much for your quick response, but my television is from before 2016. I have already done screen mirroring on this TV some time ago while we were waiting for a Freebox repair, using my mobile data, and there were no connection problems! Could you please advise me, is there another way I can play one of my videos that I have on my phone to my television? Usually, I do this from my computer to my Freebox video storage, but with my phone, I'm not sure if it's possible. Do you understand what I'm trying to do? Thank you in advance for your help if possible. Have a nice evening, see you soon on CCM.

I just tested it and had a connection failure on the first attempt; on the second, the screen connected fine. Please try again. Otherwise, from your TV, delete the pairings, then try to pair your mobile with your TV again.

      Best regards.

      Hello,

I have a very recent Philips television, sold well after 2016, and I connect my Samsung smartphone without any difficulties using Smart View.

Hello @ bendrop and thank you again for helping me with my process. I don't quite understand what you mean, the pairings, that is to say the device connected to my television? Thank you for giving me the instructions as I am sure you can describe it to me easily so that I succeed! I look forward to your response regarding the operation guidelines... have a very nice day and thank you very much. See you soon on CCM.

      Hello,

go to your TV settings, then to Connection > External Device Manager > Device Connection Manager > Device List, in this list you will see your mobile, you just need to delete it.

Then you will be able to pair your phone again.

      Best regards.
