Disable SmartScreen

Hello!

For the past two days, Windows 10 has not allowed me to install:

1°) LibreOffice,

2°) Paint,

3°) GlaryUtility...

On CCM, it is recommended to disable SmartScreen; however, it does not appear in the maintenance center?

Thank you to those who can help me resolve this issue.

Best regards

Papy Mickey

Hello,

SmartScreen can be found in different locations: security center, application and browser control, unrecognized files, Edge, Microsoft Store.

But it's not clear how the third one is concerned, the second if we don't use Edge, and even the first since we don't understand why Libre Office wouldn't be recognized if downloaded from the publisher's website.

It also exists in the content filters of Google search, but that has nothing to do with the issue.

Therefore, it is likely that the problem lies in Settings-Applications-Source (choose anywhere) unless a third-party security product other than Windows Defender is set up to oppose it.

Hello Brucine.

Thank you for taking an interest in my problem. A big thank you for your suggestions! I was able to reinstall Paint, Glary Utility, and Libre Office!

I suspect the last Windows update is responsible for this malfunction.

Best regards. Papy Mickey

The Bing story (unless it pertains to software or adware that you may have installed) is not necessarily related; whatever you do, the help links in the Windows menus will launch Edge and Bing.
