Hello,

it's all in the title, my virtual machine works very well except for the terminal: when I launch it, I see that it loads in the top left corner of the screen and then, after a few seconds it disappears and no window opens. The other applications work very well, however, does anyone have an idea please?

    Hello,

It might be the terminal application that is crashing.

    1) Which desktop environment are you using? Since it's probably gnome shell, I assume you are trying to launch a gnome-terminal.

    2) Have you tried launching xterm instead (for example via alt+f2 or alt+space)?

    xterm

If you launch the gnome-terminal command from this xterm, what happens? If there's an error message, please copy and paste it.

    gnome-terminal

    3) If you create a new user, does this new user have the same problem? If not, it could be a gnome configuration issue (theme or something else).

    Good luck
