PCMCIA module for TNTSAT card

Hello,

I have two TVs equipped with PCMCIA card readers for FRANSAT cards.

Can I use a TNTSAT card in these PCMCIA readers, provided I correctly orient my satellite dish???

If the answer is no, can I find a PCMCIA module for TNTSAT???

I am asking this question here because I cannot find this module on the TNTSAT website.

Thank you

Hervé

Hello,

That's a good question...

In my opinion, the PCMCIA module is sold and labeled by FRANSAT.

For example: NEOTION CAM CI+ 1.3 https://www.fransat.fr/module-tv/

is dedicated only for Fransat... and decrypted by the card that is inserted.

-- I can hardly imagine a married life with TNTsat... but the question..??

-- A small addition: depending on how we interpret the question:

The answer can be: YES, regarding PCMCIA readers... YES, but you need to have two, one for Fransat at 5° West and TNTSAT is with Canal+ satellite ASTRA at 19.2° East encrypted in Viacess4... so you have to choose and not make a mistake.

-- Furthermore, the encoding, encryption, and multiplexing systems are also different... I suppose it can't work..??

I remain curious to know the answer.

Hello,

The answer is: NO

You cannot use Fransat modules for TNT Sat.

And there is no PCMCIA module for TNT Sat (Canal doesn't want it), so even with your satellite dish realigned, you won't get anything unless you get a TNT Sat decoder with its dedicated card (which I do not recommend).
