I can't customize the notification sound.

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my phone. Not with the phone itself, but since I'm using a Samsung, I'm posting here.
Before, I could set my custom sounds for message and call notifications from my app. I don't know if it's because of a phone or app update, but I can no longer do it. I'm particularly thinking about the messaging app Signal.
I can change the sound, but only among the default sounds included in the phone. I can't set my own sound, though it's installed on my phone. So I've been stuck with a default sound that I didn't choose for the past few weeks.
I go to Settings => Apps => Signal => Notifications => Notification settings in the app => Customize => Sound, and it offers me a choice: Continue with 1/ Next SMS 2/ SecSoundPicker, One time/Always.
I think I used SecSoundPicker before to modify, but now I no longer see my sound, nor a button to choose my sound from my internal storage.
Thank you for your help.

It seems that your problem is related to a restriction from certain Android operating systems. They limit access to custom sounds for third-party applications. However, you can bypass this by making a small manual modification.
You can place your custom sound directly in the Notifications folder of your storage space. To do this:
1. Connect your Samsung to a computer via a USB cable.
2. Open the file explorer on your computer and navigate to your mobile device.
3. Locate the "Notifications" folder in your device's storage. It is usually found in the main folder.
4. Copy your custom sound into this folder.
Once this is done, try going back to the notification settings of Signal and see if you can now choose your custom sound. If it still doesn't work, restart your phone and try again.
Your custom sound should now appear in the list of available notification sounds.

Thanks Bobot, that was exactly it. People talk bad about AI, but sometimes it outperforms humans! ;-D
