Hello,

I bought a CD and I would like to record it on my laptop or on a USB drive. I have a DVD burner.

I think I need to install software on my PC? If so, which one please?

Thank you in advance to those who will give me advice.

    Hello

Just extract the tracks in mp4 format using Windows Media Player, and then copy them to a USB drive.

See this page to get WMP.

What is well conceived is clearly expressed,
And the words to say it come easily.

I finally managed to extract the music pieces.

      Thank you Pierr10.

    Thank you very much, Pierr10.

I opened the link you sent me and I will check it out.

    I will keep you updated.

    I have Windows Media Player.

The tracks work when the burner is plugged in.

The tracks are silent when the burner is unplugged.

What do I need to do to get the tracks to save on my laptop, please?

How do I do the extraction?

For my part, I copied and pasted and it doesn't work.

I don't have the "rip CD" option.
