Burn a Blu Ray without a Blu Ray burner

Hello,
I saw at the market this morning, 3 rewritable Blu-Ray discs of 25GB for €6 and I wanted to get them (exceptional offer)...
However, none of my PCs have a Blu-Ray burner...
Can I burn the movies I have (about 8GB per movie) onto the Blu-Ray disc while keeping the image quality at 720p or 1080p?

Would it work if I create a data disc by putting my movies onto the disc and burning it with a simple software (ISO burner, Nero, etc.)?

Thank you in advance to those who take their time to respond!

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 17.0

Read this article

And well, know that your DVDs still have a bright future ahead since Blu-Ray players read them very well. Of course, don't expect HD quality from them, you'll need to invest in a BD movie for that. Conversely, you cannot play Blu-Ray discs on current DVD players.

I think the answer is no, Blu-Ray players can read regular DVDs but not the other way around.

Actually, my problem is more with the burning...
Sorry if that wasn't clear...
If I buy the Blu-rays, can I burn them with the burner on my laptop?
Knowing that this one doesn't have a Blu-ray burner?

Is it possible to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a pedal car??? Yes, if all the cars are pedal cars.

I don't see the connection between your answer and the topic :(

Me neither, because there isn't any..

It is impossible to burn a Blu-ray without a burner, just as it is impossible to read a Blu-ray without the appropriate player.

So according to you, if I take blank Blu-ray discs (25GB), I can't burn them with the DVD burner included in my PC, but I absolutely need a Blu-ray burner even if I'm making a data disc?
