Turning off your internet box every evening

Hello,
Turning off your internet box every night with a switch seems convenient. And I used to do that with my Livebox.
However, I don't know if this action damages the box. I'm currently talking about a Freebox Pop, as I've finished with Orange.
I would like a technically correct and reliable answer. Otherwise, there are plenty of "answers" to this question on Google!

Hi,
there's no risk for the box, that's for sure.
Anyway, it's owned by Free, so if it breaks down, they will replace it, that's all.
Otherwise, turning it off at night doesn't help much, except to save a few euros a year on electricity consumption, but if you have to invest in a programmable socket for that, I’m not sure it’s worth it.
And there you go....
But gosh, the line spacing is so annoying!!
