Freebox Delta VM Minecraft Server
Ptilott -
Hello,
I have the Freebox Delta with the Pop player and I want to use a VM to host a Minecraft server continuously. I first tried to install MineOS but I can't get it to install, the same for Debian. I've actually upgraded the RAM from 2 GB to 4 and soon to 8 to run the server under the best conditions.
Has anyone succeeded in installing MineOS on it and can explain how to do it or help me install Debian or another Linux distribution to run the server (if you have other OS suggestions, I’m all ears)?
Thanks in advance

Hello, on my side I have installed Debian and everything works perfectly, if you need help I can obviously assist you.
However, I am mainly replying to let you know that the processor (although excellent) will not be able to support more than 20-30 players at the same time under good conditions, being optimistic!
On my side, on a basic survival in 1.20.1 with 2 players, it’s not uncommon to see usage spikes at 100%, although on average it sits around 25-35%.
It's worth noting that I still only have 1GB of RAM (thus only about 900MB allocated to the VM) and Mojang recommends a minimum of 2GB for this version, and the data that cannot be stored must probably be calculated continuously, which doesn’t help.
Also, to return to the initial problem, can you be a bit more specific, for example at what point does it get stuck, or which ISO exactly are you using?
Hello,
I could really use your insights, I have a working server on my VM on my Freebox.
From there, I can connect to the server from my PC (connected to my Freebox) using the IP address of my virtual machine.
When a friend tries to connect (with the same IP address of the virtual machine), it doesn't work.
I've made sure to forward the ports (25565) to the IP address of my virtual machine, I don't understand where the error might be...
