Top Model International: scam?

Hello,

I auditioned for Top Model International. A model told me to avoid it because it cost her more than 2500 EUROS to participate.

- Paid casting

- Paid votes for the public

- A sponsorship to submit (or you pay yourself) of 250 EUROS for the semi-final

- A sponsorship (or you pay yourself) of 1750 EUROS for the final

Does anyone have any information?

It is indeed true about the paid public voting and the 250 euros for the semi-final, but do you really have to pay 1750 EUROS to participate in the final + the trip and hotel for Monaco this year!!!!!!, that's not possible, right??

I can't find any information on their site, and when I emailed them to check, they replied: "focus on the semi-final, one step at a time"!

Another model told me that the competition was previously called Top Model Belgium and that they changed the name because no one was participating in Belgium due to the money being requested... so it became International but mainly for France

Can someone enlighten me, I want to succeed in the fashion industry but not at any cost!

Thank you in advance

Hello!

How many scams promise glory and wealth in the field of 'modeling'..

As a precaution, read the applicable law for this activity if you ever decide to get into it (for free) ..

Labor Code Articles L 7123-1 to L 7123-10..

Auditions are normally free. Soon will we have to pay for job interviews??

See you!

So here we are, "Sonia023" is expatriating... to Belgium to respond to herself under the guise of a passing Lorenzo.
And to give herself a hard time, on top of that.
And she's treating herself to a "+1" as well!
Quite a strange maneuver.

"I've never heard of Top Model International": some little hearing problems already?
No, because really ► https://www.topmodelinternational.com/?page_id=5109&lang=fr&lang=fr
https://www.facebook.com/Topmodelinternational.world/
https://www.instagram.com/topmodelinternational_official/

We should ask a specialist if it can be diagnosed as schizophrenia and if it's serious, progressive or not, if frequenting catwalks and fashion shows could be an aggravating factor, etc.
But hey, we should be careful, though, before the next contests ....

Hello, my daughter passed the casting and was selected for the semi-finals in Belgium, she is so happy and so are we that she can touch her dream, but when we received the email about the participation details for the semi-finals, we sensed a scam! 250 euros in sponsorships to provide; otherwise, we had to pay, plus the travel to Belgium, plus accommodation, plus access to the event venue because that’s not free, with a gala meal, etc.... On top of that, we need to do our own hair and makeup, bring the outfits, etc.... THEY are just filling their pockets and that’s it! If we had known all this, it would have spared our daughter a nice disappointment. They are not being honest with people, it’s a PURE scam! STAY AWAY!

Hello
For me, the answer is in the question... Registration fees OK, but such high fees stink :)

Hello, I wanted to participate in this contest and I came across this forum, so I decided to do some research and indeed it is clearly stated on their website in the general conditions at the bottom of the site. I think it's a shame and it also creates a big barrier; spending so much money while presenting oneself at a modeling agency is free or for the Miss pageant, it’s just not worth it...

I quote "

Furthermore, any Candidate advancing to the semi-finals of the contest must provide proof within 30 days of their selection of sponsorship by a company/business/trader or through sponsorship amounting to a minimum sum of two hundred and fifty euros in order to cover the costs of training and preparation for the candidates.

Finally, and without prejudice to the previous paragraph, any Candidate advancing to the finals of the contest must provide proof within 60 days of their selection of sponsorship by a company/business/trader or through sponsorship amounting to a minimum sum of one thousand seven hundred and fifty euros in order to cover the costs of promotion, accommodation, food, activities, training and preparation of the Candidates, and organization of the finals in Monaco. The advertising of the sponsors will then be highlighted on the communication and promotion materials of the sponsored candidate. These traders or companies cannot be engaged in any activities of an erotic or pornographic nature."

Hello

My daughter applied for the casting and was selected for the semi-finals after finding a sponsor willing to pay €250. On the day of the semi-finals, they didn’t give the results; they were supposed to inform all the candidates by email.... Today she received a call saying she was one of the 20 finalists, but in addition to the sponsorship she found amounting to €1750, she would need to pay a little over €3000 for the organization fees! It’s a disgrace! They then asked her if she could pay this amount, and of course, she said that it was not possible. They hung up, and shortly after, she received an email saying that she was unfortunately not selected!!!! A scam, a huge scam; such a thing shouldn’t even exist.

Hello,

I've never heard of Top Model International, ... Scam?

My opinion is like Castor's, yes most competitions have entry fees, I've done several, but they're small amounts, it was cool experiences, however asking you for 250 euros is excessive and if I understand correctly, then they ask you for 1750 euros ..... I would stop this thing right away if I were you, it's really taking people for fools!

And if you feel that you've been scammed, file a complaint, legally they have to disclose all costs of a service, a purchase etc. before you commit.

Hello, my son is a finalist and you are mistaken, it's not €1750 but rather €1800 that needs to be paid in addition to the trip, and that's just for him of course.

Hello everyone,

The process is still a scam nonetheless.

Big scam, as there are unfortunately many in the field.

Never pay for anything. That's the basics!

Thanks Alex, .... well I clicked on the payment option at the bottom of the page as you said, .... I had already done it before, ...... but I didn't see anything except the 30 euros for registration ....., did you see anything regarding the sponsors? If that's the case, I'll have to get myself some glasses, lol or maybe I'm really stupid and the glasses won't help! In any case, I still don't know if I also have to pay 1750 euros for the final or not.

We should ask Lorenzo what he thinks about it...

He's in a good position, isn't he?

You shouldn't take them out of your pocket, you should find sponsors for your flyers! That's only fair.

Who is talking about flyers here?
