How to set up chromecast without Google Home

I want to connect my iPad (15.1) to my TV to watch content from Prime Video.

To install Google Chromecast, the manual asks me to go through the Google Home app, which is free for only 5 days. Is there an alternative?

Thank you for the advice and this specific link, but alternative no. 1, and not just for this site, is currently unavailable (Fire Stick TV).

I don't know the context of the Fire Sticks.

Historically, where Google Home could be used on a PC, this is no longer possible today except on Android/iOS, and I don't see what prevents it from being installed there (as long as there is a Wi-Fi connection, of course).

Whether it works afterwards or not under these conditions is another question.

Hello,

I haven't used it in ages (my Chromecast has refused to work since I changed my box and TV), but the fact that Google Home is paid surprises me.

The app was at least free on Android, and nothing says it isn't still.
