Rtx 3060 issue

Good evening everyone, I'm sending this message on the forum because I can't find any solution to my problem despite watching dozens of videos on YouTube and getting help from my acquaintances.

I have a problem related to my graphics card, it's an NVIDIA RTX 3060 with 12 GB.

Since I bought it, I haven't noticed much difference compared to my old card which was a GTX 1660.

In games like Fortnite, I don't exceed 100 FPS. In GTA, Valorant, and other games, I'm quite limited for an RTX, and when I watch gameplay on YouTube with the same type of card, they have much, much better performance while maintaining decent quality.

I don't understand how to fix all this.

Thank you in advance.

Have a good evening.

    Hello!

Try checking on the NVIDIA GEFORCE software if your graphics card has the latest driver installed. It might be due to the driver you are using; some have issues, so try installing an older version than the latest driver. And if you have an older version than the latest driver already installed on your graphics card, install the latest version of the driver.

If you haven't changed your motherboard, that could be the issue as well. If your motherboard isn't powerful enough and your processor isn't suitable to support the power that the graphics card requires, you'll never get all its capabilities. When you change a graphics card, you also need to change the rest; it's very important...

Also check your RAM. If you don't have much RAM and you have background applications running, that can cause your video games to be capped at 100 fps or to bug out.

    Hoping it will work again.

    Best regards.

What do you mean by "the motherboard isn't powerful enough"? Even if the motherboard is equipped with a PCIe 3.0, it's unlikely that an RTX 3060, 12 GB would saturate the 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes of the motherboard. Maybe on the CPU side, if it's too weak, it could act as a bottleneck. But we don't know that. Is the power supply not providing enough power for an RTX 3060, 12 GB? Maybe.

If you check carefully on professional websites for purchasing graphics cards, the site in question always asks for the model of the motherboard that the PC has because if it is not recent enough, the graphics card will never be supported. And I would like to point out that what you wrote below is exactly the same as what I wrote just above, just phrased differently.

To connect a GPU, we have been using PCI-Express 16X ports for a long time. The PCI-Express ports being backward compatible, in principle, there is no compatibility issue.
