Electrical diagram software - Win/Mac

Hello,

With my in-laws, we are tackling the electrical standards of an old house.

We have some nice hand-drawn plans of the current layout, and we would like to take them and recreate them digitally in order to have:
1 - updated plans, with modernization of the network
2 - Plans to send for getting quotes for the installation (because currently, the quotes we're receiving are unusable without a schematic).

I found quite a few things, but mainly focused on electronic schematic design, not electrical. Or then, on ultra-professional solutions that are overpriced.

So I wanted to know what you use, ideally compatible with both Mac and Windows platforms; if it's free, that's great, but if it's paid at a reasonable level for a private individual, that's fine too!

Thank you for your feedback.

Hello, and thank you for your feedback

I may have expressed myself poorly, but what I want to draw are the cabinet diagrams, not the distribution in the house (at least not right now). So kozikasa doesn't seem suitable for that based on what I see in the presentation video

As for the Legrand software, it seems to be exclusive to Windows... I would need a means that is compatible across platforms Mac/Windows (if it works on tablet and smartphone, that's a plus but not essential)

    Thank you very much

In paid software, you have Visio
      https://support.microsoft.com/fr-fr/office/cr%C3%A9er-un-diagramme-de-g%C3%A9nie-%C3%A9lectrique-b1b1d8b5-1950-4f6a-8265-0b088dc294bc

Maybe there is something in free software with libraries for electricity..
If not, you'll need to go for a software that allows you to create your own shape library.. but ensuring compatibility between MAC and PC is not easy because for the developer it means doing the work twice....

    Good evening,

I don't really understand your question:

"2 - Having plans to send for quoting the installation (because currently, the quotes we receive are unusable without a diagram in front)"

Are you looking to partially redo the distribution? With your existing plans? Just redo the panel? I don't believe a professional will provide you with a detailed diagram for a quote; in new builds, yes, but not in renovations, especially partial ones. A quote will indicate the number of circuits and their type (lighting, outlets, specialized lines, etc.), the number of points served, the installation method (embedded or not). For the panel, the C15100 standard recommends according to the installation and needs. At the quoting stage, we do not create diagrams or plans. We know the number of circuit breakers and protections for a certain number of circuits. Ask about the brands used, Legrand, Schneider is a guarantee of quality, and the possibilities for extensions.

In any case, for my part, a site visit is necessary for an accurate quote.

If you want to go into more detail, it will be my pleasure.
