Hello / Good evening.

As the title explains:

I am looking for software that allows me to listen to the radio.

The ideal: in portable version.

The only ones I know are:

- Screamer Radio, although I prefer the old interface. The last update was in 2022.

- RadioSure, but apparently the servers haven’t been working since March 2022 (unfortunately).

So far, I have only found:

- Strimio, which I use in "portable" version. But it doesn’t have a notification icon, unfortunately.

- StationRipper - which I also use in "portable" version. But its "old-fashioned" appearance and the numerous non-functional radios annoy me. ^^

So I would like to know if, by any chance, anyone here knows of a software to listen to the radio.

The ideal is the portability of the said software.

But I’ll take anything: if a software pleases me, whether it’s portable or not, I’m interested.

Have a good evening everyone.

    Good evening.

    Thank you, but.....

I mentioned it in my topic. ^^

Since 2022, the software has not been updated.

    Therefore, some feeds aren't either.

Oops, not seeing clearly. I really have to stop responding when I’m tired.

        There’s no harm done :)

I’m discovering more, by the way, I might just find happiness, who knows. And I’ll give some feedback on that.

However, Strimio: a real discovery, I love it.

But as mentioned above: it lacks certain features.

Since there’s no notification icon… no function, like changing the radio, etc.

So this time I have my eyes wide open, ;)

You have vradio https://www.akouradio.com and it is portable.

    See you!

Great minds think alike: I just found it, but I hadn't noticed it was portable.

Thanks, it's me who didn't have my eyes in front of my face xD

      Have a good evening.++

        Good evening and good night.

        And Vradio: it's adopted.

It's JUST a little executable that rocks. ^^

        thank you.

Remember to mark it as resolved.

    Hello.

I will mark it as resolved after I have tested everything I found.

    And I found this:

    Audials one
    pocket radio player
    VRadio
    ZaraRadio
    RarmaRadio
    Tapin Radio

    Then:

    - fxradio

    - RadioGet

    - Radimaximus

    - streamuner

    - Tray Radio

    Results for now

audials one : OK. The portable mode is "unofficial". But this software is so comprehensive that I'm hesitant to install it.

Vradio : OK. In portable mode.
pocket radio player : OK. In portable mode.

The other software is only installable.

    - Tapin Radio

I will install them, knowing that I had already tested RarmaRadio in the past.

    Back!

    I tested...

    So, in installable version:

Rarmaradio: Very good radio listening software, no connection errors.
tapinradio: Very good radio listening software, no connection errors.
fxradio: Very good radio listening software, no connection errors. Only downside: it doesn't ask the user where they want to install it.
RadioGet: Many stations have a connection error.
RadioMaximus: Many stations have a connection error.
Streamtuner2: Installation of prerequisites via command line (python 2.7 and various dependencies) and the software... which, in the end, doesn't launch when called. XD
Tray Radio: Okay, but its use is cumbersome. NEXT!
Zararadio: no stations configured, and I'm too lazy. NEXT!

    Let me summarize...

    Radio software in portable version:

    - Screamer Radio

    - VRadio

    - pocket radio player

    In "unofficial" portable version:

    - audials one. But I loved it so much that I'm hesitant to install it.

    In installable version:

    - Rarmaradio: Very good radio listening software, no connection errors.
    - tapinradio: Very good radio listening software, no connection errors.

    @++ :) and thank you ;D
