How to avoid or remove the "Merge Cells" message

Hello,

When I want to unmerge cells in an Excel file and I go back 'often unintentionally', I get the message "Merging cells only keeps the upper left value. Other values will be ignored."

And it's impossible for me to go back without having to click endlessly.

I have to go through the task manager by clicking "End task", thus losing all my data.

Does anyone know a way to remove this message or even get out of this loop?

    Avoid the message? Don't make the mistake ...

    Get out of the loop? I don't know what loop you're talking about; I've never seen that.

    Retirement is nice! Especially in the Antilles ...
