Hello,
I am the administrator of a WhatsApp group and I am currently facing this issue:
a participant has awkwardly left the group and is asking to come back; however, I receive the following message:

"Unable to add Fred. You can invite him to join this group privately.
Invite to join the group privately Cancel"

- why this message?
- how to handle it to add him back to the group?
- advantage/disadvantage of inviting him privately?

Hello
It's not you. It's him (Fred) who set his WhatsApp so that people can't add him to groups. The only way is to send him a link to invite him.
