Install Office 2003 PRO on Windows 11

Hello,
I have the original PRO installation CD with its installation key,
I installed it without any problems and it works well on another family PC running Windows 10
and on my old PC which crashed...
I got a restored Think Pad 480, as good as new. Now retired and no longer having significant professional computing activity, I don't want to install the 365 suite (the annual cost is prohibitive for my very limited needs + I'm fed up at my age with having to learn and remember new concepts and methods for the umpteenth time since the beginning of my computer adventure). However, I have everything I need with my dear and comfortable office 2003 or 2007.
I thought I read that it's possible to run it on WIN 11. But the installation from a USB stick (no CD drive on my new machine, so from a copy of the CD) hits me with an inflexible
"the installer cannot continue the installation source has been damaged"....
Has anyone encountered and solved this problem?
Do I need to uninstall the pre-installed trial versions of 365?
Can I install "over the local Wi-Fi network" from the CD drive of the other PC?
Thank you

Hello,
A lot of questions in one.
One thing is for sure, in any case, you must first completely uninstall Office 365, that is to say with the Office uninstallation assistant that can be found online at Microsoft.
We are certain that Office 2007 works on Windows 10 and 11, so why not install it if you have it too?
On the other hand, and aside from the fact that it does not support the docx format, which is annoying, nothing indicates that Office 2003 works on Windows 11; erratic situations have been reported: global installation impossible, only possible with SP2 but not SP3, impossible to operate unless OneDrive is disabled, impossible to save anything even in the opposite case...
As for the USB stick, it may indeed be damaged or a security device is preventing it from being used to install anything; more generally, the Office installation "remembers" the installation drive, I don't know if it's possible (or if it's a good idea) for it to be a USB drive: the "normal" approach is to copy the contents of this stick to the disk and then install from that disk, then if you want to save space (and don't need further modifications to this installation), you can delete that folder after the installation.
Thank you very much for your prompt response.
I will explore these options and keep you updated.
As for the 2007 version, I found the key but not the disks with the software. I will continue my search and also see if the installation program is downloadable from Microsoft. That would certainly be the most convenient.
I will also try reinstalling by copying the CD to the hard drive via networking with my other computer.
See you later and thank you for any additional information from other colleagues.
PS: as for a request for phone support from Microsoft Help, I was politely told that for them Office 2003 was museum material... not profitable and implying that perhaps I was too...
If the USB key is not dead, we don't need a network, just copy its contents to the disk, but again, it's better to go for 2007 (which I remember was not on floppy disk but on 2 CDs).
2007 is no longer online at Microsoft, but you can find an ISO for example here, which you just need to download to your disk and then "mount" by clicking on it and then on Setup.exe.
