Brother HL-3230CDW Laser Printer Issue

Hello,
Brother LASER Printer HL-L3230CDW
For some time now, I have noticed a printing streak along the edge of the paper, as if the printer is printing waves (on the printing side).
The streak is always black, even during color printing.
I have performed a drum cleaning following the method from the Brother site, but there is no issue with the toner. The problem is on the edge of the paper (see images).
Do you know which part I need to replace? I don't want to throw away the printer.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Sorry, I don't have anything more...
We should check inside, in the housing of the Lens, with a good light, to see if there's anything that could obstruct the path of the projection...?? there could be a piece of paper for example..
In my opinion, it's a cleaning issue or a foreign object.
Hello,
The cleaning of these printers is not just aimed at the drum; it also involves everything around it and what goes into the laser's functioning chain.
Among other things, cleaning the corona wires, removing toner residues from the sides...
Your issue seems to be related to a corona wire that is covered in dust, which prevents charging or discharging the paper from static electricity... As a result, it charges the toner on the corresponding surface...
Is your printer level??
Take out the powder reservoir, shake it from side to side, and then reinstall it and try again...
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
I just cleaned the corona wires again and shook the powder tank.
No change.
Another idea, maybe replace the tank (https://www.amazon.fr/Brother-WT-223CL-Collecteur-original-dutilisation/dp/B07G1V9PJR)?
Thanks again.
Hello everyone,
I think it's more of an oven issue.
If your photos are printed in portrait, I would lean towards the left side of the oven which is not working (but unlikely in my opinion) or is clogged.
Try to take it apart, there are normally 4 screws.
The rest has been checked as mentioned above.
Regards!
Yes, the oven is an option too... generally, the heating element runs the entire length, as a single piece, so it's unlikely that there would be a zone that doesn't heat up... But if a crust has formed, with the excess toner spilling over, or the "lick" not scraping all the unused leftovers, that could be possible...
Be careful, we can get burned.
I have the same printer.. Take out all the cartridges and check the drums of all the cartridges to verify that there are no marks on them. They should be perfectly smooth and shiny without scratches.
At the back you have a magnetic roller (it sticks the powder to the paper), make sure its edges are clean. It's difficult to clean properly, it's a replaceable consumable.
I don't really believe it's the fuser.. it doesn't have anything that can contribute to the toner mark.
Thank you all for your feedback.
Sorry for the delay, I was waiting for the new toners.
I have replaced the toners.
I have just cleaned everything again, there were no marks on the drums.
Any other ideas before the recycling center?
Have a great weekend.
There is certainly something in the paper path of this printer... that causes toner to smear on the paper and creates this dark mark, fairly well defined.
It would be a shame to throw away a working printer just for a mark that could be cleaned (in my opinion).
If the mark is indeed black, and the black cartridge is the last one in the passage, it can only be that one causing the problem..
Did you replace it with a new original cartridge??
Yes, I replaced it with an original black toner, but there hasn't been any change...
Maybe the black drum needs to be replaced?
The left side could correspond to a staple on a sheet that might have damaged the sensitive layer of the drum.??
Isn't the drum also replaced, together with the toner powder block??
Open the top while printing and see at what level you have a deposit on the sheet..
If it's before the oven, you should already see a mark on the transfer belt (A)…
The drum is a complete toner and drum block.. the recovery of used toner takes place in the drum + toner assembly (B) it is possible that the recovery is not working properly and is overflowing onto one edge..
Good evening, thank you for your feedback,
I just tried the "contariness" solution, there is still a mark along the entire length on the A: transfer unit, "BU-223 CL", there are also marks on the same side of the drum (DR-223CL).
Should I replace both?
Thank you
You must have toner that has spilled over the edge.. Probably the used toner recovery system did not work properly..
You can remove all the cartridges and then take out the transfer belt (green handle at the front) by pulling it upwards.. Underneath you will find the recovery unit.. It’s likely that at this level you might have a piece of paper blocking the toner recovery and leaving the mark..
In any case, try to vacuum the toner that may be there.. (not too strong suction)
Do not leave the toner cartridges under a bright light source, the drum is sensitive to light
