Hello,
The Chromebook has a specific BIOS that allows it to boot only from a USB drive containing a version of Chrome OS signed by Google. Any attempt to boot from an unsigned media will fail, or rather, the Chromebook will behave as if no USB drive is inserted. This is the same mechanism that prevents booting from external media containing an unsigned OS when secure boot is enabled on a regular PC.
So if you want to boot from your Windows drive, you will first need to replace the BIOS of your Chromebook, and that’s not something just anyone can do. Moreover, the outcome is not guaranteed; you are more likely to render your Chromebook inoperable than to succeed. And even if you do succeed, you'll also need to find the right drivers for Windows, which could be problematic...
Hello,
Easier in virtualization, a real hassle to replace, anyway not possible on all Chromebooks and not without the risk of crashing the machine with no hope of recovery.
