Hello

What is the benefit of installing Microsoft 365?

Can we do without it since... it's paid?

Thank you for your insights

Hello .....

You're not at all obligated to install it, and anyway, no one is forcing you ....... I suppose you have a recent PC with Office 365 installed by default, and that you'll either have to buy it or uninstall it after 6 months .....

If you want a free office suite, you can install instead ► Libre Office or OpenOffice (Personally, I recommend the first one)

Cheers

See you

Hello,

Microsoft 365 (Office suite) is indeed paid.

Depending on the version you purchased (family or personal), you are entitled to:

Personal version (one and only one user):

  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Defender
  • OneDrive (cloud) 1 TB / person
  • Outlook
  • OneNote
  • Clipchamp
  • Skype

For PC, Mac, iPhone, iMac, tablet, Android systems 4

In family version (up to 5 users (sharing))

You will have in addition to what is listed above:

  • Access (database) only on PC
  • Publisher only on PC
  • Microsoft Family Safety

You can also have the option to install it on Mac.

You can share it with 5 other people.

If you want a free office suite, I recommend downloading either OpenOffice or LibreOffice (free software).

https://www.openoffice.org/fr/

https://fr.libreoffice.org/

However, with these last two, if you open an Excel file for example and it contains macros, I don't think they will be able to use them. On this last point, you should inquire.
