hi there!

I’m posting here because I have a problem and I don’t know where to resolve it, couldn’t find a topic for it...

I have a TCL U55C7006 TV that won’t turn on, doesn’t react to anything, just a white LED

when it’s plugged in the CPU heats up, and I measured some voltages on the motherboard I found 12V, but I saw a video that said that in standby I should have 5V

I tried a bit of hot air on the CPU, the RAM, the NAND, nothing works

I tried to reinstall the firmware with a USB key and 30s on the power button (I read that on a forum) but nothing works

I’m really desperate and I’d like to avoid paying for a new motherboard / repair (problem so recurring that someone fixes this problem specifically... bravo TCL!)

    Yes, but…

    When a component is defective, there is no other option but to have it repaired.

    Afterwards, it’s easier to look at a brand new TV…

    hi I prefer to repair the mobo, if I can repair it with a bit of elbow grease that would be good!

    otherwise it's 100€ for the repair

    or 200€ for the new motherboard... knowing that I got the TV for free it would still be profitable I guess...

    afterwards it's clear that if a chip needs to be changed I don't have what it takes

    Hello everyone,
    "I’d like to avoid paying for a new motherboard": I’ve repaired enough IT equipment, including when people told me it was impossible or not profitable, to tell you that repairing an old model and replacing it with a newer one, the choice is quickly made.
    You’ll spend less time buying and you’ll have an extra warranty....

    hi, the problem is that this TV was given to me, it was a service for a client and he never came back and doesn’t respond to me anymore! so in a few months I’m considering keeping it for myself
